Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Trip360 is a drive tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can turn things off or delete them. If anything here is unclear, write to prixumca@gmail.com.
1. The short version
- Drives are recorded and analysed on your phone. What leaves it depends on your settings, and in local-only mode nothing is uploaded.
- We collect usage data and diagnostics (which screens and features are used, and errors the app hits) linked to your account, to improve the app. You can switch it off in Settings → Privacy and data → Share usage data.
- We never sell your data and there are no ads in the app.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.
- You can export your data or delete your account from Settings at any time.
2. Your account
When you create an account we store your email address (or the private relay address Apple gives us if you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email), your username, the country you choose, and an account ID. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the email address and account identifier that provider shares with us. We also store your friend code, the vehicles you add, and your settings.
We use this to run your account, show you on Ranks and the Play map, connect you with friends and clubs, and answer you when you contact us.
3. Drives and location
While a drive is recording, Trip360 uses your phone’s precise location (GPS) and, if you turn on auto-start, its motion sensors to notice when a drive begins. Speed, distance, duration, altitude, braking, corners and the rest of your recap are worked out on your phone.
Unless local-only mode is on:
- Your drive’s figures (for example distance, duration and speeds) are uploaded so they count toward Ranks.
- With Cloud backup on, the drive’s route is uploaded too, so you can restore your drives on a new phone.
- The hexes a drive passes through are sent to claim territory on the Play map (see below).
With local-only mode on, none of this leaves your phone, and a new phone cannot restore those drives.
4. Territory, ranks and friends
The Play map is divided into 250 m hexes. When you claim a hex, other drivers can see that your username holds it, which shows roughly where you have driven. Ranks show your username, country, vehicle and totals to other drivers. Friends, friend requests, clubs and invite codes (including who joined with your code) are stored so those features work.
5. Usage data and diagnostics
To understand which parts of Trip360 people use and to find and fix problems, the app sends us:
- Product interaction: which screens you open and which features you use, for example opening Ranks, starting or saving a drive, opening a replay, making a reel, sharing a card, viewing the Pro screen, starting or completing a purchase, sharing an invite, or adding a friend. Some events carry small details such as a drive’s distance and minutes, the plan you picked, or which screen opened the Pro page.
- Diagnostics: errors and crashes the app hits, as an error type, a short message and the place in the app’s code where it happened. Messages are cut to 300 characters and anything that looks like an email address, a token, a link’s query string or coordinates is removed before it is sent.
- Context sent with each batch: app version and build, platform, iOS version, language and region setting, a random install ID created by the app, and a random session ID.
This data is linked to your account when you are signed in (and stored without an account when you are not). It never includes GPS coordinates, place names, routes, your email, phone number, name, anything you type into the app, or sign-in tokens.
We use it only to improve Trip360 and keep it working: to see which features are used, where people get stuck, why they buy Pro, whether invites work, and which errors to fix first. It is not used for advertising and it is not sold. It is stored in our own database and is not sent to an analytics company.
Turning it off: go to Settings → Privacy and data → Share usage data. It is on by default. When it is off, no usage events and no error reports leave your phone. Local-only mode also stops them.
6. Purchases
Trip360 Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions: it receives your App Store purchase receipts and your Trip360 account ID, and tells us about purchases, free trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds (product, price, currency, store country and dates). We keep those records with your account to unlock Pro, to answer support questions and for our accounts.
Every new account gets 7 days of Pro without a purchase; that grant is recorded with your account.
7. Install attribution
We use AppsFlyer to learn which ad, link or campaign led to an install, so we can tell which marketing works. AppsFlyer receives install and app-open events, a short list of in-app events, device information and your IP address, plus subscription events that RevenueCat sends it. On iPhone, Trip360 asks for permission through App Tracking Transparency; the advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared only if you allow tracking. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. AppsFlyer is paused while local-only mode is on.
8. Notifications, maps, photos and support
- Notifications: if you allow them, your device’s push token is stored (via Apple and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you the alerts you choose.
- Maps: map images are loaded from our map provider (Esri), which, like any website, receives your IP address and the map area being shown.
- Speed cameras: for camera alerts, your position is used to look up cameras on the road ahead. In local-only mode no precise position is sent for this.
- Photos: photos used in reels and share cards are processed on your phone and are not uploaded. Reels and cards leave the app only when you save or share them.
- Support: if you contact us, we keep your message and our reply.
9. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that run parts of Trip360 for us, under their own privacy terms:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Our database, sign-in and server functions (accounts, drives, ranks, territory, usage data) |
| Apple | App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, push notifications |
| Google sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, website fonts | |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management |
| AppsFlyer | Install attribution |
| Esri | Map images |
| Vercel | Hosting this website |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect Trip360, our users or the public from fraud or harm.
10. Your choices
- Local-only mode keeps everything on your phone.
- Cloud backup controls whether routes are uploaded.
- Share usage data controls usage events and error reports.
- Tracking, Location, Motion and Notifications can be changed in iOS Settings.
11. How long we keep data
- Account details, drives, territory and friends: until you delete the drive or your account.
- Usage data and diagnostics: up to 400 days, then deleted.
- Purchase records: as long as needed for accounting and tax rules.
- Support messages: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.
12. Export and deletion
You can download a copy of your data with Settings → Export my data, and delete your account with Settings → Delete account, which removes your account and the data on your phone. When an account is deleted, usage data stays only without your account attached. You can also email prixumca@gmail.com to ask for a copy, a correction or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
13. This website
trip360.site does not use cookies or analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.
14. Children, changes and contact
Trip360 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
